The North Fork is a valuable local waterway that requires modern solutions for sediment buildup, water flow, and floating debris. We are advocating for positive upgrades to restore a clean, safe, and active recreational waterway.
We want the city and county to invest in basic sanitation and infrastructure for the North Fork.
We need regular, transparent testing of coliform and chemical levels, along with real remediation policies to address runoff and septic leakage.
Replanting native mangroves, grasses, and foliage along the banks will naturally filter pollutants, stabilize shorelines, and create wildlife habitats.
Clean up floating garbage and activate riverfront parks so residents can safely fish, kayak, and boat without exposure to toxic sludge.
